6 Secrets of Strong Special Needs Dads

In honor of Father's Day, I thought I'd share an article about the secrets of strong special needs dads. This comes from Suzanne Perryman of the Huffington Post My husband, Zoe's Dad was my inspiration to write about what I know about special needs dads. We are in the kitchen, my husband and I, cleaning up after dinner and talking about our day. I am telling him a sweet story about Zoe, a challenge she encountered. The story ends with success and as I happily share the outcome, I look to his face for the approval and excitement that I know he will offer, his endless encouragement something I rely on. Life-Changing Story of Lonely Little Bird & Olympic swimming coach helps

FEBC in China received an email from one of our listeners who identified herself as the "Lonely Little Bird." She suffers from cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is a condition caused by abnormalities in the brain and nervous system. As a result, Lonely Little Bird has overly tight muscles that contort her arms, legs and body into uncomfortable positions. She also has very little control over the motions. When she sent that first email, she was in a very deep depression because of her symptoms. Yet as she continued listening to FEBC's broadcasts, the healing power of Jesus restored not only her soul, but also her joy. It even opened doors for gradual physical healing to take place, as a former Olympic swimming coach finds great purpose in her story.  ...
