The Handy Family's "Handy" Beach Walker

An exceptional mother, Amy Handy, from our EFTV online community submitted this Kiddo Cam video of her daughter Elena using a beach walker they constructed at home out of PVC pipe. It's a 3-wheeler design and allowed Elena to navigate through the sandy beach and even run! This saved Amy's back from carrying her around.

That is amazing and works so well! What a back-saver AND an independance creator!

My husband created a walker out of PVC piping too, but Everett needs a seat, so he used a pair of hockey shorts suspended in the middle. E has outgrown the walker, but it did the trick for a little while.
